Athlete of The Month June 2026
BEN FUHRER
Ben has been training with me for nearly two years, and during that time I’ve watched him develop into an exceptional athlete, teammate, and leader. He consistently brings intensity, focus, and a team-first attitude to every training session.
This year has been full of impressive accomplishments:
• Recruited to play D1 water polo at Loyola Marymount University.
• Captain of the Dos Pueblos High School boys water polo team which was a top team in the country.
• Team MVP.
• Two CIF Division I semifinal appearances.
• All-Channel League Co-MVP.
• Multiple ODP Coastal Team selections.
• 2nd place finish at National League Finals
In the gym, Ben has made huge strides in his strength and power:
• 365 lb Hex Bar Deadlift for 3 reps.
• Significant improvements in the Hang Clean.
• Major increases in maximal countermovement jump performance.
What stands out most about Ben is his consistency, mature and thoughtful communication, and genuine care for his teammates. He is the type of athlete who puts the team first, leads through his actions, and makes the people around him better. Over the past two years, he has earned every bit of his success through his commitment to the process and the people around him.
I am proud of you, Ben! Your success is well earned. 💪
