Athletes

This service is built for athletes and driven individuals seeking personalized, in-person coaching in Santa Barbara. Every client begins with a free evaluation and consultation to identify goals, training history, and specific needs. From there, Justin designs and implements a customized strength and conditioning plan, trained and refined together in his private gym setting.
Each athlete’s training focuses on long-term, sustainable performance through:
-
Speed and Strength Development: Building power, acceleration, and total-body strength with precise technique.
-
Conditioning and Resilience: Improving sport-specific endurance while reducing fatigue and injury risk.
-
Olympic Weightlifting Instruction: Learning proper mechanics and execution of Olympic lifts to develop explosive performance safely.
-
Performance Testing: Assessing maximum strength, vertical jump, and movement quality to determine starting points and guide individualized progression.
-
Periodization and Progressive Overload: Structuring training phases to ensure continuous improvement and measurable results.
Every detail is designed with purpose. Technique, consistency, and intelligent progression form the foundation of this process so each athlete can thrive in the sport and lifestyle they love.

Athlete of The Month April 2026
BENNETT SULLIVAN
Bennett is the kind of athlete every coach wants in the room. He shows up with intention, brings a great attitude, and works hard every single session. He asks good questions, pushes himself, and makes the people around him better.
In the classroom and in the pool, he’s putting together an impressive year:
• Earned a recruit spot on the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens and committed to their program starting in the Fall of 2026.
• Futures qualifier in multiple events.
• Junior class top scholar at Laguna Blanca.
• Gave a TEDx talk on opportunities associated with delayed gratification.
In the gym, he hit new maxes:
• 3 weighted pull-ups at +90 lbs.
• 3 reps of the Hex bar deadlift at 365lbs.
• 30 inch standing vertical.
In the pool, he hit new personal bests:
• 100 free 47.6
• 100 breast 57.5
• 50 breast 26.8
What stands out most is his consistency and leadership. He sets the tone with how he trains and how he carries himself, and that has an impact on everyone around him.
We’re proud of you Bennett! Your success is well earned.
